culinary mastery?

some guy keeps asking me for weird receipes, like osso buco and creme brulee. first of all, i'm a student- i ain't buying no veal for dinner. secondly, i refuse to cook anything that requires a blow torch. thirdly, who actually eats that stuff on a regular basis?! that's more the kind of food that you look up a receipe for when you need it, not that you just "happen" to have lying around.

i think he's testing me.

six more questions.

1. Other than family or boy friend who has had the biggest influence or made the biggest impact on your life so far?
mr. michael arsenault, hands down. anyone who has ever met this man would understand why. for those who haven't met him, there is nothing i can put into words that could describe how incredible of a human being he is.

2. What are your dreams about family - boys? girls? How many?
i didn't want kids for a really long time, but my mind has changed in the last few years. i want to have two sons, about two or three years apart.

3. Other than people not sending you 3 questions, what is your biggest pet peeve?
probably people who do stuff that they shouldn't be doing and end up causing me more work. i hate that. for example- one of my old roommates used to use my computer when i wasn't around, and when i'd come home, my settings and preferences were all messed up. i'd have to sit down and take the time to put everything back the way it was. i shouldn't have to do that with my own stuff when you shouldn't be touching it in the first place.

1.if you had to describe yourself using a song, which song would you pick?
i'm sure you'd all be shocked to hear that it would be an ani difranco song... i'd choose "willing to fight".

2.who/what has been your greatest inspiration?
since i can use family for this one, apparently, i'll have to say my mom. hands down. she's such an incredible woman. she's shown me that you can do anything if you set your mind to it.

3.if you could only listen to one cd for the rest of your life, what would it be?
i'd probably choose sarah harmer's "you were here". there is not a bad song on that album. i genuinely believe that it's one of the best albums ever recorded.

three answers.

well, jerry was the only person to send me three questions. the rest of you get a big ol' punch in the nose.

1. What one event or happening in your past formulated or changed the direction of your life?
i'd have to say my decision to leave the city i grew up in to attend university. it changed my life in so many ways. i physically moved from one side of the country to the other. i began my experience of living on my own. i met the man that i one day hope to marry. i'm soon to be a graduate of the university of western ontario. none of these things would have happened if i hadn't accepted my invitation to attend university.

2. If you could live anyplace in the world where would it be and why?
i have my heart set on oakville, ontario right now. it's a quaint little city just outside of toronto, right on the waterfront. it's lovely. it's a perfect little city where i could raise a family and live comfortably and safely, but still have all the luxuries and perks of the big city.

3. What can someone say or do that will always make you feel special?
i love it when i run into people and they say that they're glad to see me. it makes me feel wonderful to know that people are happy to have me around. i also love it when people enjoy my cooking.

if anyone else wants to send me questions, please do and i'll post my responses shortly. really! i like questions.
